Former Soldotna resident David Randall Jackson died Monday, June 25, 2007, in Auburn, Wash. He was 43.
Mr. Jackson was born Nov. 30, 1963, in Soldotna.
A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. today, Sunday, July 1, at Eastridge Baptist Church, 12520 S.E. 240th St., Kent, WA 98031.
“David enjoyed the outdoors. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and being with his sons, friends and family. He was always willing to help anyone who was in need. He was deeply loved and will be greatly missed,” his family said.
“He taught me to appreciate the land and what Mother Nature has provided for us,” said Austin Jackson.
“My Dad showed me how to be a man,” said Josh Moran.
“My dad always brought out the brighter side of me, he taught me from when I was young to do the right thing, stay in school, and that’s what I intend on doing,” said Davey Jackson. “Dad, see you in time.”
He is survived by sons, Nicholas of Alaska, Luke of Bonnie Lake, Wash., Joshua of New Hampshire, Maine and David and Austin of Auburn; mother, Shirley Jackson; siblings, Cherryl, Bill Boston and Tamara, Lonny and Renick.
Arrangements were made by Yahn and Son Funeral Home in Auburn.
