JUNEAU (AP) -- Police are investigating the death of a man found Thursday at his home in a motel room.

After an emergency call at 9:12 a.m. Thursday, police found the body of George E. Williams, 58.

Kevin Tang, co-owner of the Tides Motel, said Williams had lived at the motel for one or two years.

Williams' mother was from Hoonah but he was raised in Haines, said Johanna Dybdahl, tribal administrator of the Hoonah Indian Association. Williams was a fisherman, Dybdahl said.

Williams body was flown to the state medical examiner's office in Anchorage for an autopsy.

The death is the second in the family within the last year. Williams' nephew, Robert ''Robbie'' Williams Jr., disappeared in December while hunting near Hoonah. His remains were recovered in May.
