KODIAK (AP) -- A teen-ager was grabbed from behind and pulled into some bushes were she was raped, authorities said.
The 16-year-old was walking home from a girlfriend's house between 3 a.m. and 5 a.m. Thursday on Island Lake Road when she heard someone behind her. She said she was dragged to a muddy area where she was raped, Alaska State Troopers said.
She described the man as white, of medium to tall height, with dark hair and a mustache.
Troopers are working with police and Fish and Wildlife troopers doing neighborhood surveillance. Off-duty troopers also have been called in to help.
