BETHEL (AP) -- A Tuntutuliak man was missing and feared drowned after falling into the Kuskokwim River.

Andrew Frank Sr., 54, and his wife were traveling from their fish camp back to Tuntutuliak late Saturday night when they began having problems with the outboard motor on their boat, Alaska State Troopers said.

Frank went to the back of the boat to fix the motor, fell into the water and was unable to get back into the boat before being swept away.

Search and rescue groups from Tuntutuliak and Bethel searched the river Sunday, but found no sign of Frank. He was not wearing a personal flotation device, troopers said.
