Troopers, search team looks for hiker missing near Talkeetna

ANCHORAGE (AP) -- A New York City man missing from a guided hike was found early Tuesday evening.

Alexander Reisberg, 43, was found by members of the Air National Guard 210th Rescue Squadron at about 5:20 p.m.

Reisberg had been part of a party hiking 25 miles east of Talkeetna.

Reisberg left the group at about 6 p.m. Sunday for a short walk. He wore a blue rain coat, light pants and tennis shoes. He was last seen about one-quarter mile from the camp.

Reisberg's tent and camping gear were found at the camp site.

Alaska State Troopers searched Monday night by helicopter and continued by air and on the ground with a dog team from Alaska Search and Rescue Dogs on Tuesday.

Reisberg was described as an experienced hiker in good physical condition.

Troopers said he was found in good condition.
