Longtime Alaskan and Sterling resident Josephine U. Siebert died Saturday, June 26, 2004, at Central Peninsula General Hospital in Soldotna. She was 88.
At this time, no services are planned.
Mrs. Siebert was born Dec. 31, 1915, in Chillicothe, Mo. She moved to Alaska in 1953. She had also lived in Kansas and Auburn, Wash. While she was working, she was a beautician.
She thoroughly enjoyed fishing, hunting and traveling.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John J. Siebert.
She is survived by her sister-in-law, Leona Siebert of Auburn, Wash.; and good friends, Caroline Burback of Sterling, who also was her caregiver, Kay Standifer and Audrey Wright, both of Anchorage, Mike and Linda Hodson of Sterling, Joyce and Norman Eischen, Tami and Ed Marsters and many other friends.
Arrangements were made by Peninsula Memorial Chapel.
