The sun and a crowd of hundreds welcomed the Fourth of July Parade down Willow Street in Kenai on Tuesday afternoon.
The Kenai Chamber of Commerce announced the award winners of the Fourth of July Parade on Tuesday. They are as follows:
Grand Prize -- Nikiski Senior Center
Commercial -- R&K Industrial, first; Pollard Wire Line, second
Organization -- Moose Lodge and Family Center, first; Central Peninsula Habitat for Humanity, second
Equestrian -- Nikki Pate and Elizabeth Hammond, first; Llamas of the Midnight Sun, second
Youth -- American Legion Unit No. 20 Junior Auxiliary, first; Kenai Summer Recreation, second
Automobile -- Peninsula Classic Auto Club, first; Cook Inlet Lions Drag Racing, second
Individual -- Farmall H. Tractor, first; Lancaster for House, second
Miscellaneous -- Alaskan Hospitality Lodge, first; Northland Drilling, second.
