Former Kenai resident Mildred L. Bell died, Saturday, June 16, 2007, in Pasco, Wash. She was 76.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, July 28, at Sunshine Missionary Baptist Church, 3660 W Roosevelt Road in Chicago.
Ms. Bell was born March 12, 1931, in Neshoba, Miss., to Carrie and Ben Gray. She was a high school graduate and also received technical training. Ms. Bell grew up in Meridian Miss., and moved to Chicago, where she worked for the city's sanitation department as a truck driver. After retiring from the sanitation department, she moved to Kenai.
"She enjoyed (Kenai) greatly and called it home. Mildred will be missed greatly, but her spirit will live on in our hearts forever," her family said.
She is survived by her daughter, Debra Bell; grandchildren, Calvin and Shanice Bell; three sisters; one brother; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Arrangements were made by Columbia Memorial in Pasco.
