Beware of door-to-door salesmen

Posted: Monday, July 05, 2010

Beware of door-to-door salesmen. They are from out of state, and after you sign on the dotted line, they are gone.

Be sure to read the small print. If you can't see it, get someone who can. Someone you know and trust to read rules and regulations to you. If you don't, you may be locked into a long contract without your knowledge.

These people are not representing a local business or product. Once you buy, it's your problem. They do not have to maintain or support the product or service. If they do, you will be without service for many weeks while it is shipped for repair or replacement in the mail.

Buyer beware!
