ANCHORAGE (AP) -- Paul Stankavich has been appointed president and chief executive officer of the Alaska Public Radio Network.
Stankavich has 33 years of experience in broadcasting. Most recently he served as general manager of KZAZ radio in Bellingham, Wash. and worked with Washington State University's Northwest Public Radio Network.
He has also managed radio stations in Minnesota and Pennsylvania and worked in commercial television in Ohio early in his career.
Stankavich said he wants to develop a long-range plan for APRN and said he's committed to the success of the network's news programs.
Stankavich succeeds Julie Guy who retired.
