The public is invited to attend the "Heart of Worship Encounter" Sunday and Monday at the Kenai New Life Assembly of God. Dr. LaMar Boschman will be the special musical guest and worship leader. Nature to be Bible school theme

The Seventh-day Adventist vacation Bible school will be July 16 to 21 from 6:30 to 9 p.m. at mile 8.4 on the Spur Highway. Children between the ages of 4 and 14 are invited to attend. For more information, call 260-5877.

Soldotna chapel plans Vacation Bible school

The Soldotna Bible Chapel is sponsoring a vacation Bible school for children ages 4 to sixth grade. The program entitled "Surf'n God's Word in Search of Truth" begins July 23 and runs until July 27. Classes are held at 301 Marydale every day at 9 a.m. Participants should bring a Bible if they own one, and parents and friends are invited to attend a closing program at 11:45 a.m. July 27. Spiritual poems sought

A $1,000 grand prize is being offered in a special religious poetry contest sponsored by New Jersey Rainbow Poets. The contest is free. There are 28 prizes in all totaling more than $2,000.

To enter, send one poem only of 21 lines or less to Religious Poetry Contest, PMB70, 103 N. Wood Ave., Linden, NJ 07036, or enter online at www.rainbowpoets.com.

The deadline for entering is July 25. Poems may be written on any subject, using any style, as long as there is a spiritual inference. A typical poem might be a love poem, nature poem or one that inspires. All entrants will receive a winner's list.
