ANCHORAGE (AP) -- An Anchorage teen has received a $12,000 scholarship to help her pursue her education and become a future entrepreneur.
Molly M. Pazsint, 18, will attend the University of California at Davis starting this fall.
The scholarship is the biggest awarded by the National Association for the Self-Employed, which also gave out $4,000 to 22 other students.
The organization says Pazsint has played an active role in her parents' business, Alaska Tire & Rubber Co., which engineers and manufactures custom tires for small aircraft used in tundra and bush regions of the world.
Paszint plans to study business management and eventually start her own outdoor tourism business.
