WASILLA (AP) -- Two children were hurt Friday when one of them apparently lost control of a personal water craft and crashed into the other on the beach, Alaska State Troopers reported.

Keinderelle Watson, 15, of Fairbanks suffered head injuries when the SeaDoo she was riding ended up on land.

Tyler Miller, 11, of Wasilla suffered hip injuries when the craft hit him.

The incident occurred at about 3:25 p.m. near the Big Lake North campground.

Watson was riding a friend's watercraft not far from shore when the craft suddenly accelerated and she hit a rock, troopers said. Miller was standing by the rock, and the machine hit him.

The water craft continued on, throwing Watson off and possibly landing on her. The girl and the machine ended up 72 feet from the water, according to troopers.
