Social Security rep to visit peninsula

Representatives from the Social Security Administration will be at Kenai City Hall July 17 from noon to 4 p.m. and July 18 in Homer at the senior citizens center from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Visitors center offers interpretive events

The Kenai Visitors and Cultural Center will offer several interpretive events this week. On Monday, Rob Carillo of the Challenger Learning Center will present "Air Rocketry" from 3 until 4 p.m.

Wednesday, artist Marty Hapeman will present a program on archival treatment of art work.

Friday, storyteller Carol Ford will perform a program of quotes from pioneering Kenai women. All interpretive programs are free and held at 3 p.m. at the center. For more information, call 283-1991.

CPGH board to hold special meeting

Central Peninsula General Hospital will hold a special board meeting Monday at 4:30 p.m. in the Iliamna room to conduct business carried over from the June 27 meeting. For more information, call 262-8129.
