Kenai couple celebrates 50 years of marriage

Thomas and Ruth English of Kenai celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary June 28.
The couple was married in 1952 in Pennsylvania, where they lived off and on for 37 years until relocating to the Kenai Peninsula in 1989.
The Englishes have six children: Rick and Marie English of Kenai, Ken English of Kenai, Cheryl Bossert of Kasilof, Chris and Kelly English of Anchorage, Michelle and Ron Kijewski of Raleigh, N.C., and Craig and Julie English of Kenai; and 15 grandchildren, Shevaun and Justice English of Kenai; Heather Emery of London; Carly, Garrett and Taryn Bossert of Kasilof; Kelsey Bossert of Kenai; Christian, Brandon, Amy and Anna English of Anchorage; Seth, Amberle and Gabrielle Kijewski of Raleigh and Justice English of Kenai.
