The participants of the 2006 Dandelion Sundae would like to thank the following organizations for their donation of time, weeds and ice cream.
The Kenai National Wildlife Refuge for providing a place to learn about invasive plants and our wild lands reaction to them. The Kenai Soil and Water Conservation District for serving up some funds for and then the ice cream enjoyed by many. The Kenai Watershed Forum for providing the ice cream and organization of this annual event. Peggy Mullen of River City Books for being the person who cared enough to get this started. And finally a big thank-you to all the participants who brought in over 800 pounds of dandelions!
Lots of helpful folks learned about this and other invasive plants and are willing to spread the word and not the weeds.
