Former Kenai resident Shirley Mozelle "Mo" Baker Davis died July 4, 2001, in Sarasota, Fla.
Burial will be at the Miller Creek Family Cemetery, near Johnson City, in Blanco County, Texas.
She was born September 18, 1931, in Austin, Texas.
She and her husband, Chester, had many adventures, including raising their family in Alaska from 1964 to 1993. They lived in Kenai for more than 20 years. She was a member of Our Lady of the Angels Catholic Church.
"She was a Catholic, a gifted seamstress and crafter, an avid reader, and loved video games. She never backed down from any person or any struggle," her family said.
She was preceded in death by her twin daughters, Carol and Wanda Davis; and her parents, Walter and Valerie Mozelle Long Baker.
Mrs. Davis is survived by her husband of 53 years, Chester Isaac Davis; their children, Janet and Brian Powell, Linda and Ronald Frison, and Paul Davis; her grandchildren; Brian and Vicky Hoff, Darcy and Paul Buckner, Michael Frison, Gerald Hoff, Alan Davis, Keith Powell, Steven Davis, Megan Powell, and Patrick Powell; great-grandchildren Alex, Brianna and Haley Hoff; and her sisters and brothers; Margie and Donald Ray, Jay and Jo, Ruby and Jack; other family members and many friends.
