German residents marry in Sterling

Kathrin Anna Richter and Kurt Boos, both of Frankfurt, Germany, were married in a 3 p.m. ceremony June 30 at Bearwallow, the Sterling home of their friend Richard Duncan.

Duncan officiated the ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Anneliese Werthine and Jurgen Richter of Dresden, Germany. Educated in Germany, she is a construction engineer.

The groom is the son of Anneliese and Gerhard Boos of Frankfurt. He is a computer engineer for Deutsche Bank in Frank-furt.

The bride wore western attire.

Matron of honor was Tamara Scheithauer of Frankfurt. Best man was Jim Wood of Sterling. Al Maal of Sterling gave the bride away. The ring bearer was Angeleah Wood of Sterling. The flower girl was Brianna Sipes of Sterling.

A reception followed the ceremony at Bearwallow. Providing music for the reception were "Turk," "Gypsy" and "Randy, the Big Spanker."

The couple honeymooned in Sterling. Although the groom has been coming to Alaska for many years, this was the bride's first visit.

They will make their home in Frankfurt.
