Program to feature rocket building
Rob Carillo, an educator at the Challenger Learning Center of Alaska, will conduct a workshop on making and flying compressed air powered rockets for the Science on the Kenai interpretive program today at the Kenai Visitors and Cultural Center. Dog show, trials slated for weekend
The Kenai Kennel Club will host a dog show, agility trial and obedience trial Friday, Saturday and Sunday at Skyview High School. The events will start at 9 a.m. each day. Admission is $3 per person and $5 per car. Volunteers are needed, especially for agility. For more information, call Annique at 262-1677.
Christmas in July planned
The Sterling Senior Citizens Center will hold a Christmas in July craft bazaar from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday at the center at Mile 82.5 of the Sterling Highway. Tables can be rented for $25.

KDLL board meeting scheduled
KDLL's board of directors will meet at 7 p.m. July 16 at the KDLL studio in the Economic Development District building on the Kenai Spur Highway, three miles north of Kenai.
All blood types in demand
There is an emergency blood shortage of all blood types in Alaska. The Blood Bank of Alaska has only seven units of O negative, the universal blood type used in hospital emergencies, in stock. The blood bank in the Blazy Mall is open Tuesday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
