Patrick E. 'Patman' Parsons

Longtime Kenai resident, Mr. Patrick E. "Patman" Parsons died Sunday, July 5, 2009 from lung cancer at Central Peninsula Hospital in Soldotna. He was 53.

A bonfire and remembrance service will be held at 6 p.m., Friday, July 10, 2009 at the Kenai Beach. For further information contact Tiffney at 907-398-3775.

Mr. Parsons was born October 6, 1955 in Washington. He worked as a logger in Wrangell and moved to Kenai more than 20 years ago. He enjoyed family get-togethers, loved picnics with family and making people laugh.

"Patman was always known to make people laugh and smile. He will truly be missed, loved and never forgotten. May God bless him in heaven as he watches over us," wrote his family.

Mr. Parsons is survived by his wife, Deborah Stiers of Kenai; son, Rocky Stiers of Kenai; daughter, Tiffney Carlson of Kenai; grandchildren, Mystery and Jaden Garner of Kenai; daughter, Natasha Saunders of Washington; grandchildren, Jasmine and Javen Saunders of Washington; former spouse and friend, Arlene Gedney of Wrangell; and many, many friends around the Kenai Peninsula.

Arrangements were made by Peninsula Memorial Chapel.
