The original construction of the Holy Assumption of the Virgin Mary Russian Orthodox Church is visible, right down to the moss chinking its logs, as a visitor examines the 116-year-old building's interior Wednesday afternoon. Renovations to the building began earlier this summer that required workers to remove some of the building's white siding, visible at right. They plan to reinforce the foundation, add a handicap access ramp and install fire and antitheft alarm systems. Services are being held across the street at Fort Kenay until the work is complete.
