Mild earthquake felt strongly in Anchorage

PALMER (AP) -- A mild earthquake late Friday was occurred in the Anchorage area, the Alaska Tsunami Warning Center said.

The 11:24 p.m. quake, which had a preliminary magnitude of 4.2, was felt strongly in the Anchorage area.

The tsunami warning center said the quake was centered about 15 miles northeast of Anchorage.
