Anne DeSmidt and Jonathan Taylor were married March 19 in an oceanside ceremony in Haleiwa, Hawaii.
The bride is the daughter of Rebeca and Joseph DeSmidt Jr. of Sterling.
The bridesmaids were Emily Johnson, Angela Sauer and Andrea Van Mill.
The groom is the son of Janis and Joseph Taylor, of Healdsburg, Calif.
Chad Mortensen was the best man.
The couple met while attending Oregon State University in Corvallis, Ore., and graduated together in June 1998.
A reception for the returning honeymooners was held in Healdsburg on April 1, and a second one on June 17 at the bride's parents' home in Sterling.
Out-of-state guests included Anne's grandmother, Lucille DeSmidt, from San Leandro, Calif.; aunts Mary DeSmidt of Phoenix, Ariz., Kathy Wolinski and her husband, Tom, of Castro Valley, Calif.; uncles Jim DeSmidt and his daughter Amy of Alameda, Calif., Pete Jensen and his son Max from Haleiwa, and Louie Jensen and his daughter Sarah from Vancouver, Wash.
The Taylors currently reside near Ashland, Ore., where Jonathan is a process engineer and Anne is pursuing a masters of applied psychology with an emphasis in mental health counseling at Southern Oregon University.
Forms for engagements and weddings are available at the Clarion's Kenai and Soldotna offices. Color or black and white pictures also may be submitted. Photos with an address written on the back will be returned.
