ANCHORAGE (AP) -- A soldier from Fort Wainwright died early Saturday morning after he crashed into a guardrail while riding an off-road motorcycle in Fairbanks, Alaska State Troopers said.
The identity of the 32-year-old man was not released Sunday pending notification of relatives.
The man suffered severe injuries after he struck the steel rail near a river dike south of Fairbanks.
He was pronounced dead in the emergency room at Fairbanks Memorial Hospital at 1:49 a.m., troopers said.
