Soldotna chamber to hold luncheon

The Soldotna Chamber of Commerce luncheon today will feature a Republican Lieutenant Governor Candidate Forum at noon at the Riverside House. For more information, call the chamber at 262-9814.

Football camp registration slated

Kenai Peninsula Football Camp registration begins Monday at 8:30 a.m. at Soldotna High School. The camp will run from 9 a.m. to noon Monday through Thursday. All Pop Warner players grades four through nine and coaches are invited to attend the camp. The theme is "Fundamentals and Fun." The camp features a punt, pass and kick competition, a seven-on-seven touch football championship and individual fundamental football drills and position technique. The cost of the camp is $50 per athlete.

Swim lessons still available in Kenai

Two sessions of swim lessons remain from the summer schedule at the Kenai Central High School pool. Session IV will run from Monday to July 26. Session V will run from July 29 to Aug. 9. The cost is $40. For more information or to register, call the pool at 283-7476.

Board of Forestry schedules meetings

The Board of Forestry will meet July 24 at 9 a.m. and July 25 at 8 a.m. The meetings will be held at the Advanced Business Services building on the Kenai Spur Highway in Soldotna. WRCC sponsors Run for Women

Doctor to conduct FASD workshops

Dr. Kieran O'Malley will present two workshops about Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD) Aug. 20 at the Homer Community Mental Health Center conference room from 1 to 5 p.m. and Aug. 23 at the Kenai River Center in Soldotna from 1 to 5 p.m. For more information or to register, call Holly Mercado or Margaret Parsons-Williams at 262-6331.
