Joseph Procaccino

Soldotna resident Joseph Procaccino died Saturday, July 3, 2010 at Heritage Place in Soldotna. He was 88.

Memorial services will be held at10 a.m. Saturday, August 28, 2010 in Plymouth, Indiana.

Mr. Procaccino was born Sept. 30, 1921 in Logansport, Indiana. He joined the Army Air Corps and USMC during WWII. Mr. Procaccino moved to Alaska in 2009 where he lived in Soldotna. He was an International Operating Engineer for 45 years. He was a member of the American Legion, VFW and the St. Michaels Catholic Church in Plymouth, Indiana.

He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Procaccino of Soldotna; daughters, Ellen Kempf of Soldotna and Theresa Bollinger of Granger, Indiana; sons, Tom Nowicki of Elkart, Indiana, Steve Nowicki of Las Vegas, James Procaccino of Elkhart, and Arthur Procaccino of Mishawaka, Indiana; eight grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Arrangements were made by Peninsula Memorial Chapel.
