BETHEL (AP) -- In a story about a Bethel policewoman, the Associated Press erroneously reported that Jessi Nicholson was the city's first female officer.
Bethel Police Chief Bob Petitt said he has since learned that Ruth Nichols, who was on the city's police force in the mid 1980s, was Bethel's first female officer.
