UNALASKA (AP) A man who was attacked by a group of fellow factory trawler workers has been charged with assault, authorities said.

Shawn McGraw, who was punched, stabbed and kicked during the July 24 incident, allegedly knocked out another crewmember in a dispute over a missing pornographic magazine on the Seafreeze Alaska while it was docked in Unalaska.

McGraw, 27, was medevaced to Alaska Regional Hospital in Anchorage.

An arrest warrant on a charge of misdemeanor fourth degree assault was issued for McGraw last week in Unalaska District Court.

Five crewmembers were arrested on charges of assault and riot for attacking McGraw, following the conflict over the missing magazine. They are being held in Anchorage and are scheduled for preliminary hearings this week.

The Seafreeze Alaska is a bottom-trawling factory ship owned by U.S. Seafoods of Seattle.
