Habitat for Humanity raffle raises funds for future housing projects

Posted: Thursday, July 10, 2003

On behalf of the entire Central Peninsula Habitat for Humanity Organization, I would like to thank the following organizations and individuals for their assistance with our Shed Raffle fund-raiser held at the Fourth of July Parade:

The Kenai Chamber of Commerce, for the Parade and gathering afterward; Kenai Chrysler, for the gracious use of a fine Dodge truck to pull the shed in the parade; Doug Jung, for the opportunity to sell tickets in Safeway; Laura Favretto, Terri Daley, Ramon Carreon and Marilyn Dimmick, for working the booth on the Green Strip; Jim Consider and Max Stanton, for their invaluable aid in shed construction; Frances Consider, for setting up our booth early Friday morning.

And Jane and Calvin Fair of Soldotna. Jane was the winner of the shed, and they graciously donated the shed back to Habitat to be used in our fall raffle. Thank you very much.

Finally, thanks to all who bought tickets on the shed and quilt, and to those who sold them.

Mike Dimmick
