Beiswenger, Shea announce engagement
Elizabeth Ad-ams Beiswenger of Girdwood and Jason Anthony Shea of Germany plan to be married Saturday, Aug. 20, 2005, in Anchorage.
The bride-to-be is the daughter of Susan Adams Beis-wenger and Allan Beiswenger of Gir-dwood. She is a 1997 graduate of Soldotna High Sch-ool and graduated with a double major in politics and Russian studies from Vassar College in 2001. She is in her second year of her doctorate study and has completed field work in Chukotka, Russia.
The groom-to-be is the son of Tamara Zepeda of Moline, Ill. He is a 1998 graduate of the United Township High School in East Moline. He is a staff sergeant in the United States Air Force and works as an aircraft armament systems specialist. He is currently stationed in Germany.
The proposal took place Dec. 24, 2003 in Moline.
Chris Cushway and Nicole Hobbs
Hobbs, Cushway announce engagement
Nicole Danae Hobbs and Chris Cushway of Kenai plan to be married Saturday, Aug. 13, 2005, in an afternoon ceremony at the First Baptist Church of Kenai. Pastor Dean Nich-ols will officiate.
The bride-to-be is the daughter of Robin and Jim Allemann of Kenai.
The groom-to-be is the son of Lee Ann and Robert Cushway of Kenai.
Tasha Leman and Christopher Boin
Leman, Boin marry in Ninilchik
Tasha Marie Leman of Ninilchik and Christopher James Boin of California were married Saturday, June 18, 2005, in an afternoon ceremony at the home of the bride's parents in Ninilchik. Longtime family friend Mike Chihuly officiated.
The bride is the daughter of Dan and Jamie Leman of Ninilchik. She wore a white halter dress with a short train that had a sheer overlay of embroidered flowers. She carried a bouquet of white rose and blue babies' breath cascade bouquet accentuated with navy blue ribbon.
The maid of honor during the ceremony was Whitney Leman, sister of the bride. She wore a strapless navy blue dress with seashell jewelry to match the wedding theme.
Bianca Antinore of Scottsdale, Ariz., Amy Long of Chicago, Anne Boin of San Louis Obispo, Calif., and Krista Leman, sister of the bride, of Ninilchik were the bridesmaids. They wore baby and navy blue dresses and seashell attire. Heather Bear, niece of the bride, was the flower girl.
The groom is the son of Jeanne and Jim Boin of San Jose and San Francisco, respectively. He wore a tuxedo with navy blue pants and jacket with white shirt and platinum tie.
Peter Seaburg was the best man during the ceremony. Matthew Boin, brother of the groom, Nick Cronin, Vinny Ucci and Joe DePalma were the groomsmen. Ryan Bear, nephew of the bride, was the ring bearer.
The reception was held at Carol Bock Hall at the Ninilchik Fair Grounds. The couple will take a honeymoon at a later date.
They currently reside in Tempe, Ariz., but plan to make their home in Anchorage in the future.
Jeff Miller and Jennifer Seal
Seal, Miller marry in Hawaii
Jennifer Seal and Jeff Miller of Nampa, Idaho were married Saturday, March 19, 2005, on the beach of the Renaissance Hotel at Wailaia Beach in Maui, Hawaii.
The bride is the daughter of Debbie Klopstock of Sto-ckton, Calif., and Patrick Seal of Loveland, Colo. She graduated from Northwest Naz-arene University in 2005 with a degree in social work. Jennifer is employed by Advocates for Inclusion in Nampa.
The groom is the son of Sandy and Jerry Miller of Nikiski. He graduated from Northwest Nazarene University with a degree in pastoral ministry. Jeff is employed as a youth pastor at Karcher Church of the Nazarene in Nampa.
Guests at the wedding included Greg and Natalie Miller of Tualatin, Ore.; Jared and Stacey Meyer of Soldotna; Scott and Emily Neely of Bothel, Wash.; Anna-Lisa Fredeen of Stockton, Calif.; and Jerry and Sandy Miller of Nikiski.
The couple honeymooned on Maui and currently reside in Nampa.

Waters, Straw announce engagement
Valerie Waters and Nick Straw of Chefornak will be married Saturday, July 23, 2005, at Bridal Point in Sterling.
The bride-to-be is the daughter of Karen and Walter Waters of Kenai. She graduated from Pacific University in Oregon in 2003 with a bachelor of arts degree in education and learning. She is employed as a teacher in Kasigluk with the Lower Kuskokwim School District.
The future groom is the son of Nelda and Paul Straw of Dixon, Ill.
He graduated from Pacific University in Oregon in 2003 with a bachelor of arts degree in education and learning. He also is employed as a teacher in Kasigluk.
The proposal took place in the groom's hometown of Dixon on July 7, 2004. The fireflies were out.
