Human remains found near Fairbanks ANCHORAGE (AP) — Investigators began scouring missing persons records after human remains and clothing were found in the Moose Creek area this week, according to Alaska State Troopers.

The state medical examiner is trying to identify the remains, including skeletal parts, through DNA and dental record analysis, the trooper statement said Friday.

Moose Creek, a community of about 600 people, is 20 miles southeast of Fairbanks.
