Progress Days gearing up
Applications for the Soldotna Chamber of Commerce’s annual Progress Days parade are available online at www.soldotnachamber.com or by visiting the chamber office. The parade will take place July 22.

Canner gauge testing available
The Cooperative Extension Service is offering free testing of pressure canner dial gauges from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. through Friday at its office in the Doors and Windows building on Kalifornsky Beach Road.

Historical society to meet
The Kasilof Historical Society will meet at 6 p.m. Thursday at the McLane Center. Following the business meeting, a tour of the area where Alaska Packers had its cannery will be held. Volunteers sought to build
Central Peninsula Habitat for Humanity is seeking volunteers for its home building construction site at 209 Cottage St. in Kenai (from the Kenai Spur Highway go three blocks south on Linwood Lane, turn right (east) onto Colonial Drive and go one block to Cottage Circle. Montessori holds open house
Kenai Montessori School will host an open house from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday at 220 Main Street Loop Suite B, directly across the street from the Kenai Fire Department.
