Reader supports candidate

I heard on the radio that Bob Bird was running for U.S. Senate against Ted Stevens. I just want to thank Mr. Bird for the courage to do so. It is about time Mr. Stevens moves out of Washington. What has Mr. Stevens done lately for us? Bob Bird is a great man, who stands behind his conservative values. Trust me I know, as he taught my government class in high school. Bob Bird will not be there for money or power. He will be there for Alaska, which Mr. Ted Stevens has forgot, I believe. Pretty hard to focus on your job when you might get indicted any day!

I would encourage any and all of you to cast your vote and support for this man. I know that I will. Thank you Mr. Bird.
