Bazaar bake sale set

The Sterling Senior Center will hold its annual Christmas in July bazaar and bake sale fundraiser from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. today and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at the center. Its Elderberry Cafe also will be open. For more information, call 262-2943 or 262-6808.

Free dial gauge testing offered

The University of Alaska Fairbanks Cooperative Extension Service will hold free pressure canner dial gauges testing from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Mondays through Fridays at the office on Kalifornsky Beach Road, in the same building as The Alaska Department of Fish and Game office.

Weighted gauges do not need to be checked. For more information, call 262-5824.

Grange meeting slated

A meeting seeking families interested in forming a local Grange chapter will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Cook Inlet Aquaculture Building.

Granges promote agriculture, horticulture, berry production, apiculture and/or relevant activities on the Kenai Peninsula. For more information, call Linda at 260-6121, 398-8321 or Gaye at 907-345-5527.

Rotary Club garage sale set

The Kenai River Rotary Club will hold a garage sale from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. July 26 at the dentistry office of Dr. Jerry Hu at 125 N. Binkley Street.

Funds raised will be placed in the Kenai Peninsula Foundation where a donor advised fund has been created to benefit Soldotna area elementary music programming by offering grants to build existing programs and provide opportunities for artists in residence.
