Frontier Community Services Infant Learning Program will host outside playgroups open to the public Wednesdays through Aug. 4. Playgroups will meet from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. at Farnsworth Park on Birch Lane in Soldotna, and from 1 to 2 p.m. at the Kenai Municipal Park on South Forest Drive in Kenai. The Nikiski pool will host the following classes
* Swim lessons -- July 20 through Aug. 5. Sign ups are July 12 5 p.m. at the Nikiski Pool and includes beginners, advanced beginners, intermediates and tiny tots. Call Nigel at 776-8800 for more information.
* Registration is ongoing for the competitive swim class starting July 20, Semi-Private Swim Class starting Aug. 10 and Wilderness First Aid starting July 23. For more information, call Nigel at 776-8800.
* Summer hours are Tuesdays through Friday from 7 a.m.- to noon for swim lessons and lap swim only. Open swim starts at noon and waterslide from 1 until 5 p.m. It reopens from 6 to 9 p.m. for open swim, lap swim and waterslide. Saturday and Sunday hours are 1 to 5 p.m. and 6 to 9 p.m. for open swim, lap swim and waterslide. The pool is closed Mondays. For more information, call 776-8800.
