Minor earthquake near Kodiak

FAIRBANKS (AP) -- A minor earthquake was detected Wednesday morning near Kodiak Island, according to the Alaska Earthquake Information Center.

The 11:27 a.m. quake, with a magnitude of 3.6, was centered 63 miles northeast of Kodiak, the center said.

There were no reports of the quake being felt or causing damage.
