The Kenai Peninsula Youth Football camp runs from July 12 through 14. The cost of the camp is $50. The camp is open to youth football players up to eighth grade.

Kenai Historical Society is completing a restoration project on five historic homestead cabins located in Old Town Kenai. These cabins will be opened for tours this summer.
The committee is seeking donations of the following items for use in the cabins (items to become property of this project): Wood-fired cook stove, barrel stove with flat top, Trapping and homestead tools, pre-1950s commercial fishing tools, an Alaskan tuxedo, Territorial school blond teacher/student desks, army blanket, small dining table and two chairs.

* The Kenai Kennel Club will hold a Canine Good Citizen class at 6 p.m. July 16 at the club's facility in the Kenai Mall behind Sears on the Kenai Spur Highway in Kenai.
The class is six weeks for $60. A test will be held after the six weeks. The purpose of the test is to ensure the dog can be a respected member of the community because it is trained and conditioned to act mannerly in the home, public places and in the presence of other dogs.
The program is open to all dogs -- purebred and mixed breeds. The test is not a competition and does not require you and your dog to perform with precision.
The program is offered through the American Kennel Club and those who pass may request a certificate from AKC. For more information, call 335-2552 or 283-7515.
* The club will host its annual agility trial and conformation show July 9 through 11 at Skyview High School.
Events begin at 8 a.m. each day and are generally finished by mid to late afternoon.
Spectators are encouraged to bring their own seating and be prepared for changing weather.
Dogs not entered in the event are not allowed on the grounds.

The Moosehorn Amateur Radio Club is sponsoring a Hamfest on July 17 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Borough Emergency Management building on Wilson Way in Soldotna.
All amateur radio operators and the general public are invited. Tables are available to rent for radio related electronic equipment at 9 a.m. with license testing from 1-2:30 p.m.
