Knowles much more in touch with issues than Murkowski

Posted: Tuesday, July 13, 2004

I'm glad to see at least one candidate in the race for U.S. Senate talking about issues that Alaska cares about. Tony Knowles has been talking about jobs, health care, education, national security and protecting our personal freedoms.

This election is far too important not to have a discussion about real issues that affect real people.

If Sen. Murkowski really thinks that the issues people care about are who has lived in Alaska longer, she's about as in touch with the state as her dad.
