Skyview gears up for dogs
The Kenai Kennel Club will host American Kennel Club conformation, agility, obedience and rally shows and trials today through Sunday at Skyview High School on the Sterling Highway. Events begin at 8 a.m. each day and generally run until mid afternoon. Spectators are encouraged to come, but bring seating and be prepared for inclement weather. The Moosehorn Amateur Radio Club will host a Hamfest, to buy and sell amateur radio equipment, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday at Cook Inlet Academy School at 45827 Kalifornsky Beach Road. Demos begin at noon, VE amateur radio license testing begins at 1 p.m. For more information, call 283-1958.
Fire station open house set
The Kasilof Fire Station ribbon cutting and open house will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday.

Builders take a break

A Deaf Fun Day potluck and softball game will be held from 2 to 6 p.m. Saturday at the Kenai Strip Park near the softball fields. It is open to the public.
