A small boat was temporarily marooned on the island in the Kenai River near Bridge Access Road on Monday. Passerby Linda Biesanz said she left the area at 10:30 a.m. and when she came back two hours later the boat was left high by the outgoing tide. "It's happened before," Biesanz said. "It's no big deal." "I'm sure they're having a good ole time out there," said another passerby, Sigrid Klein. High tide remedied the predicament.
