Aaronson to represent Alaska Elks nationally

Daniel L. Aaronson of Soldotna recently was installed as the new leader of the West District of the Alaska Elks Association. As the Elks national representative for the area, Aaronson will be responsible for working with area Elks lodges to fulfill the order's longstanding commitment to promote charity and patriotism in communities. He also will play a vital role in the workings of the Elks, with duties including advising lodges on internal and business matters, reviewing how national policy is implemented by lodges and assisting in the coordination and supervision of Elks activities.

MOMS Club forming in Kenai

The MOMS Club, an international organization for at-home mothers, is starting a Kenai chapter.

The club is designed to help at-home mothers meet each other and garner support from one another. It also will sponsor activities such as discussion groups, park play days, special outings and service projects. All meetings will be held during the day with children welcome to attend any club activity.
