Clothes closet opens
The First Baptist Church in Soldotna offers free clothing from 9:30 a.m. to noon Saturdays in the garage at 119 Little St., off of Binkley.
Destiny Conference planned
The Soldotna Church of God will host its annual Destiny Conference from Sunday through July 23 at the church at the corner of Binkley Street and Redoubt Avenue. Morning services will begin at 10:30 a.m. with a Bible study led by David Bishop and the Destiny Kids Conference, a form of vacation bible school, for children ages 4-12. Evening services begin at 7 p.m. Monday through Friday and at 6 p.m. Sundays and includes the second half of the Destiny Kids lesson.
The theme will be “With God Nothing Is Impossible- Don’t Put God In A Box.” David Bishop, Sherman Andrus (Grammy Award winning gospel artist) and international speaker Henry Penix are some of the planned speakers. There is no fee. It is open to the public. Child care is available for each service. For more information, call 262-4729.
Wagner to speak at church
The Star of the North Lutheran Church will host guest speaker Richard Wagner at 10 a.m. Sunday at 216 N. Forest Drive in Kenai. It is open to the public. For more information, call 283-4153.
Kenai Aglow meeting set
Kenai Aglow will meet at 7 p.m. Monday at The Salvation Army Chapel at 201 N. Forrest Drive. Guest speakers will be Debbie Grimes and Nancy Haney. They will share about what God is doing of the world front.
Clothes Quarters is open from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesdays. It is in the back of the parking lot of Our Lady of the Angels Church, 225 S. Spruce St. in Kenai.
PCC celebrates its 30th anniversary
The Peninsula Christian Center will celebrate its 30th anniversary of service to the community at 10:30 a.m. July 23 at the church behind The Salvation Army Store in Soldotna. Special guests will be Rev. Lawrence Craft, the church’s first pastor, and his wife, Vera.

Summer Bible school sets sail
Grace Lutheran Church School will host its vacation Bible school from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. July 24-28, one block off Kalifornsky Beach Road on Ciechanski Road. Youth invited to join circus
The Funny River Community Lutheran Church and Alaska Mission of Christ will hold a vacation Bible school for children ages 4 through the sixth grade July 25-29 at the church at 3555 Rabbit Run Road off of Funny River Road at Mile 14. The theme will be “Come Join Godz Werkus Circus.”
