I found the mother's account (Clarion, July 2) of her son's dispute with Fish and Game rather amusing.
I was a seasonal park ranger with the National Park Service for 16 years and I'm sure in my earlier years I made some judgmental errors in my zeal and enthusiasm to do a good job. It's part of growing up and becoming familiar with all the procedures, requirements and responsibilities. It certainly didn't warrant two columns in the Clarion.
In her reference to a relative that was a big gun in the local chamber of commerce, that was pure silliness and rather insulting to Fish and Game personnel.
