Sports Brief: Twins top Service

The American Legion Twins defeated Service 12-7 on Tuesday in Anchorage at Mulcahy Stadium. The game was a makeup from a rain-out previously in the season. The Twins are now 9-7 in the league and 14-22 overall.

Sam Bowler pitched all seven innings for the Twins to pick up the win. He gave up 10 hits.

On offense for the Twins, Braden Price was 3-for-4 with two runs and an RBI while Josiah Covey was 2-for-3 with a run and an RBI. Also for the Twins, AJ Hull had two RBIs, Mitchell Thompson had two runs and two RBIs, and DJ Stilchen had three RBIs.

The Twins host Wasilla at Coral Seymour Memorial Park in a 1:30 p.m. doubleheader.
