Susan Hett and William Richardson Jr., both of Anchorage, were married Saturday, June 16, 2001, at 2 p.m. at the home of Roy and Charlene Huhndorf in Anchorage. Rod Paulson officiated.
The bride is the daughter of Victor and Joan Hett of Kenai. She wore a white gown handmade by her mother and carried a bouquet of peonies and roses.
The maid of honor was Vanessa McDonald, who wore a navy gown and carried a bouquet of pink peonies. Bridesmaids were Barbara Nelson, Kim Llorens, Angela Hanson and Liz McCollum.
The groom is the son of Elisabeth Richardson of Anchorage and the late William Richardson Sr.
The best man was Shane Pollock. Groomsmen were Dave Ferring, Rich Shell, Tom Dang and Ron Martin.
The cake was made by Will McDonald, a friend of the bride.
Susan is a 1987 graduate of Kenai Central High School and received a degree in international studies and economics from the University of Oregon in Eugene in 1991. She is employed as a staff assistant for Sen. Frank Murkowski.
Bill is a 1979 graduated of Bartlett High School and attended the University of Alaska Anchorage. He is a sergeant for the Anchorage Police Department.
The couple planned to honeymoon in Victoria, British Columbia, in July and will reside in Anchorage.
Forms for engagements and weddings are available at the Clarion's Kenai and Soldotna offices. Color or black and white pictures also may be submitted. Photos with an address written on the back will be returned.
