Second earthquake hits near Talkeetna

ANCHORAGE (AP) -- A light earthquake struck near Talkeetna early Sunday, less than 12 hours after another quake hit the area.

Sunday's earthquake had a magnitude of 4.5 and was centered 37 miles northeast of Talkeetna, according to the Alaska Earthquake Information Center in Fairbanks.

It occurred at 12:33 a.m.

An earthquake occurred at 2:05 p.m. Saturday about 35 miles northeast of Talkeetna. It had a magnitude of 4.3.

There were no reports of injury or damage from either quake.
