Longtime Nikiski resident Delma Rosie Moore died Friday, July 13, 2007, at her home in Nikiski. She was 79.

Visitation will be held at 5 p.m., Tuesday, July 17, at the Immanuel Baptist Church, Mile 15 Kalifornsky Beach Road in Kenai. Funeral services will be held at 6 p.m. and a gathering will immediately follow the services at the church. Pastors Ray Boutwell and Brad Traxler will officiate.

Graveside services will be held at 4 p.m. Wednesday, July 18, at the Kenai City Cemetery where Delma will be laid to rest next to her husband, son and grandson.

Mrs. Moore was born April 23, 1928, in Selden, Kan., where she was raised and graduated from high school. She lived in Ketchikan from 1959 to 1964 until moving to the Kenai and Nikiski areas. Mrs. Moore was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church, Seventh-day Adventist Church and the Nikiski Senior Citizens Center.

"She was a beloved homemaker who enjoyed making dishcloths and baking. She also enjoyed hats, tea, grape soda and playing games. She loved spending time with her family, friends and church members," her family said.

Mrs. Moore was preceded in death by her husband, Cliff Moore; son, George Moore; and grandson, Joshua Moore.

She is survived by her sons, Greg Moore and his wife, Becky, of Sterling, Travis Moore and his wife, Samantha, of Nikiski, Clyde Moore and his wife, Karma, of Washington and Mike Moore and Arthur Moore of Nikiski; daughters, Judy Crum and her husband, Nathan, of California and Marlene Stock and her husband, Jerry, of Nikiski; grandchildren, Tayalur, Katelyn and Trevor Moore of Nikiski, George and Shaylea Crum of California, Kim Stock of Soldotna, Robert and McKenzie Moore and Justin and Nicole Moore of Washington, Rod and Avrie Stock of Montana, Jeff and Amy Stock of Nikiski, John and Amy Blackwell of Sterling and Jerry and Tammy Green and Chris and Michelle Fischer of Texas; great-grandchildren, Wyatt and Anika of Soldotna, Ellie and Riley Stock of Montana and Stephen Horne, Jordyn and Cooper and Savanna Stock of Nikiski, Jayvan and Denali Blackwell of Sterling, Baby Moore of Washington, Lindsey and Victoria Hart and Lincoln, Reagan, Jonah, Mylee and Macy Fischer of Texas; sister, Josephine Farmer of California; and brother, Moritz Nauer of Kansas.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggest that memorial contributions be sent to the Nikiski Senior Center, P.O. Box 6973, Nikiski, AK 99635 or to the Seventh-day Adventist Church.

Arrangements were made by Peninsula Memorial Chapel in Kenai.
