A pennies for peace rally will be hosted by 4-H members Courtney Stroh and Vienna Schmitter-Schrier on Wednesday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Funkey Monkey in Kenai and from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Soldotna United Methodist Church. A disc golf tournament will be held Aug. 1 at the disc golf course behind Oilers Field in Kenai to raise funds for Camp Mend A Heart, a bereavement camp for youth, sponsored by Hospice of the Central Peninsula.
Hospice is seeking community members to sponsor or co-sponser a hole, sponsor a team, be a team player or volunteer for tasks for the tournament.
