Woman breaks pelvis in boating accident

ANCHORAGE (AP) -- A Chugiak woman suffered a broken pelvis in an airboat accident Saturday.

Kimberly Nissen, 40, was a passenger on an airboat driven by her husband, Rick Nissen, 43, from Jim Creek into the Knik River.

State trooper said the boat hit an unseen sandbar at about 5:30 p.m. Kimberly Nissen was treated at Valley Hospital in Palmer.
