Mike and Michelle Beals, owners of the Timber Wolf Lodge announce the opening of The Cabin Restaurant in Soldotna. Timber Wolf Lodge has been open for the past four years operating year round. In the past, the Lodge has prepared meals for the guests staying at the lodge, as well as catered private parties and weddings. The Cabin Restaurant is now open to the pub]ic for dining on the Kenai River. We will be open Tuesday through Saturday from 6pm -10:30 pm. Reservations are recommended. 260-5752
Chef John Hardesty joins the staff of the Cabin Restaurant bringing his culinary expertise to the already popular lodge. Mr. Hardesty has been in Alaska for the past five years and has decided to put down roots on the Kenai Peninsula. Mr. Hardesty received his culinary training in California and is anxious to share his creative gourmet touch with customer's of The Cabin.
Restored in 1997, the cabin dates to the 1930's. The original cinderblock fireplace is now covered in Kenai River rock.
The menu will change monthly offering a variety of seafood and exotic meats. A few of the specialties that you will enjoy are the Timber Wolf Tundra which features medallions of muskox and caribou. The Cabin Steak is a popular staple on the menu, The Cabin offers a variety of fine wines and domestic and imported beers. All dressings, sauces, breads and desserts are homemade for your enjoyment.
The dining room of the Cabin is located in a cabin that was built back in the early 1930's. The Beals and their boys restored the cabin in 1997. It features the original cinderblock fireplace that is now covered in Kenai River rock as well as tongue and groove spruce throughout. The decor of the Cabin is Alaskan in nature which sparks wonderful conversation and yet lends an elegance to the fine dining experience. Our professional waitstaff will always greet you with a smile and will assure that your dining experience will be enjoyable.
